FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENTS OF THE ROYALNEW ZEALAND ARTILLERY IN WORLD WAR 2
New Zealand deployed two divisions during the war. 1 NZ Divsion existed in World War 1 and disbanded at the end of the war. The New Zealand division was formed on the outbreak of war in 1939 and soon renamed 2 NZ Division, it served in N Africa, Greece, Crete and Italy. 3 NZ Division formed in May 1942 and disbanded in mid-1944, serving in the Pacific. It never reached divsional strength and its artillery was little more than a brigade group's worth.
